Social Care Assessor

As a social care assessor you will be assessing the social care needs of adults to promote independence, provide support and reduce risk. You will be working in collaboration with other adults service users and carers using a person-centred approach.

  • Expected to earn

    The starting salary is from £26,357 to £29,439. There is opportunity to work part time or full time.

  • Skills and values

    There are a range of skills and values that are needed to work as a social care assessor. These include:

    • Excellent communication, observational and listening skills
    • Good verbal, digital, written and numeracy skills
    • Treating people with dignity and respect
    • Excellent recording skills
  • Entry requirements

    You will need to be educated to NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or have equivalent experience of working in a health or social care environment. You will need to have experience of managing and resolving conflict and understanding of basic human needs, physical and emotional.
