“Working as a physiotherapist isn’t just supporting patients to maximise their physical potential, you often provide emotional support too. It’s such an important job to give people the skills they need to manage their condition.”
As a physiotherapist you’ll treat people with physical problems caused by illness, injury, disability or ageing as well as advising people on how to avoid injury. You’ll treat many types of conditions such as neurological (stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s), neuromusculoskeletal (back pain, whiplash associated disorder, sports injuries and arthritis), cardiovascular (chronic heart disease and rehabilitation after a heart attack) and respiratory (asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder and cystic fibrosis).

Entry requirements
Normally 5 GCSEs grade C/4 or above to include maths, English and science.
One of the following: A Levels (AAB must include Biology, Human Biology, PE or Applied Science), IB, Access Courses, BTEC RQF National Extended Diploma/QCF Extended Diploma, BTEC National Diploma modules.
