Transform Research

Together for Devon. Blue background with cartoon blue, green yellow heard

We would like to invite all staff working in the adult social care sector in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay to participate in independent research aiming to identify how they can best be supported, developed and valued to stay in the sector. The study is funded by Health Education England and will inform future improvements in the sector.

There are two parts to the research and staff are welcome to participate in either or both parts:

An online survey

Please complete this short questionnaire survey here, which should take no more than 5 minutes to complete

All replies to the online survey will be completely anonymous.

Online focus groups

Ten virtual focus groups are also being held during which staff will get the opportunity to discuss retention issues in more detail with an independent researcher. Participants will receive a £10 voucher to thank them for their involvement. The sessions are being held on:

Dates and time for virtual focus groups

Monday 13th June 10am-11am or 2pm-3pm
Wednesday 15th June 10am-11am or 2pm-3pm
Thursday 16th June 10am-11am or 2pm-3pm
Saturday 18th June 11am-12pm or 2pm-3pm
Tuesday 21st June 10am-11am or 2pm-3pm

If you are interested in participating in one of these sessions, please email proudtocare@devon.gov.uk stating which session you like to join. An online link will then be sent to you explaining how to join the session and how you will receive your £10 voucher.

Please participate in this important study which will be used to help guide future measures designed to improve the position of staff across the sector.

The research is being conducted by Transform Research, commissioned by Devon County Council and is across the Integrated Care System for Devon (ICSD), covering Torbay and Plymouth.
