Jade began her career in care when she was 18 after being inspired to follow in the footsteps of her mother. Jade is autistic and wants to share her story of her career progression to encourage others to consider a role in care. Twelve years on from starting her role as a care worker, Jade has progressed to being a Community Manager.
Her role includes meeting new people requiring support, devising care plans, ensuring they are up to date and supporting the wider team in their roles, through supervision and guidance.

Jade’s career has progressed continuously since she joined the sector. At 28 she became a Community Trainer, gaining the skills to train new care workers. She also completed her NVQ Level 3. These skills and qualifications continue to serve her well in her current managerial role.
